How Restful Not to Talk.
But the past week brought both (1) a lot of teaching at the academy, because some students were on a week's break from school, and (2) a virus infesting poor Nellorat. The latter interfered with the former, although I still taught for almost 30 hours, eight and a half of those on Saturday. The biggest problem is my voice: between the coughing/mucus/sore throat and the talking, my voice has turned low, ragged, crackling. I taught six hours instead of nine yesterday, and today I'm talking hardly at all, and then only very quietly. That voice and a hard-of-hearing spouse are not the greatest combo, but supergee and I are doing OK.
I did get $100 extra in my week's paycheck, presumably in appreciation for continuing to come into work. Battle pay, so to speak.
And today the kids are back on a regular school schedule, leaving me relaxing at home, as happy as any freed-up parent after the end of a vacation.
Status: just took another dose of NightCare (generic NyQuil), soon back to bed
